The semifinals in the Sask. Valley Hockey League are set.

The regular-season champion Kyle Elks will take on Delisle and the defending champions from Eston will battle Central Butte in the second round best-of-five for a shot to claim the SVHL championship.

Kyle won both regular season games between the two teams this season, 5-1 and 4-3, and Eston won their regular series with Central Butte, 9-3 and 6-5.

Just two games had been scheduled as of press time, both in the Kyle vs Delisle series – Kyle will host Delisle this Friday at 8 p.m. Game 2 is set for Delisle March 2 at 8 p.m. The two series are scheduled to be over by March 11.

To get there, Kyle Defeated Elrose in three straight games; Delisle defeated Beechy in three straight; and it took five games to do it, but Central Butte defeated Outlook and Eston defeated Kyle.

In the Kyle-Elrose series, the Elks defeated Elrose by scores of 8-4, 11-6 and 12-0 to move on.l

Delisle defeated Beechy by scores of 6-3; 7-6 and 6-3.

In the Central Butte-Outlook series, Central Butte won game one 3-2; Outlook took game two 3-2 and game three 1-0. Central Butte came back to win gamlle folur 5-4 and game five 5-1.

In the Eston-Kenaston series, Eston took game one 5-2; Kenaston won the next game 6-5; Eston won game three 7-3; Kenaston took game four 5-3 and Ramblers took the deciding game by a score of 6-5.

Brett Boehm of Kyle leads the way with four goals and eight assists in just three games.

Provincial series:

Just four SVHL teams remain in contention in their respective provincial series.

• Eston will take on Outlook beginning this Saturday at 8 p.m. in Eston. Game 2 will be played in Outlook March 3 beginning at 8 p.m.

• Beechy will battle Biggar with game one scheduled for March 2 at 8 p.m. in Beechy, followed by game two in Biggar March 3 at 8 p.m.

• Kyle will take on Strasbourg in their series, but no dates had been set as of press time.
