The Leader and District Trust Advisory Committee has been busy collecting funds that will go toward the furnishings and equipment for the Leader and District Integrated Health Care Facility since minister of Health at that time, Dustin Duncan, approved the project on Sept. 22, 2014.

The Leader and District Trust Advisory Committee is made up of members from six rural municipalities and seven towns and villages — “our community.”

Our goal is to raise $1.3 million toward the project. We also took on the task of raising extra funds to pay for the ambulance bay; Pembina has generously taken care of that. Rural municipalities, towns, villages, organizations, and present and past residents in our vast community have generously donated to this project.
