Rosetown RCMP looking a male who tried to entice youth

On Sunday, May 20, between 5 and 6 p.m., Rosetown police received information that two six-year-old girls were approached by a lone male in Rosetown.

The male asked one of the girls if she wanted some candy and a ride home. When she said no the male left and did not approach again.

Rosetown RCMP is seeking any information which might assist in identifying the adult male.

He is described as:

• Caucasian

• Reddish hair and beard

• Wearing cowboy boots, jeans, white shirt and dark green hat

• The male was approximately 5’10”

• At the time of the incident, the male was reported to be getting into a blue or greyish van or SUV that was parked nearby.

Rosetown RCMP would like to remind parents to discuss stranger safety, including the importance of reporting suspicious activity or persons to a trusted adult, with their children.

Theft of truck in Unity

Unity/Wilkie/Macklin RCMP are investigating a theft of vehicle.  The vehicle was stolen sometime overnight on May 7.

The vehicle was a burgundy 1998 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck with after market lights, a lift kit and hood scoop.

The licence plate on the truck at the time it was stolen was 364 JJU (Saskatchewan plate).
