The Wilkie Outlaws and Kindersley Sr. Klippers are the only undefeated teams left in the Sask West Hockey League after the first two weeks of the season.
All six SWHL teams were in action last weekend. After the first two weeks of the 2018-19 season, the four-time defending league champion Outlaws and Sr. Klippers are undefeated at 3-0 while only the Macklin Mohawks and Luseland Mallards have yet to pick up a win thus far.

Kindersley was on the road in Luseland for the only game on Nov. 9, and the Sr. Klippers doubled up the Mallards by a score of 8-4. Kinderlsey forward Jesse Ismond led the way for the visitors with a whopping seven points (3G, 4A) in the game.
There were three games on Nov. 10 including Wilkie on the road in Luseland where the visitors blasted the Mallards by a score of 13-2. Wilkie’s Brett Harrison, who leads the league in points early in the season, led the way with seven points (3G, 4A) of his own in the lopsided affair.
In other matches on Nov. 10, the Biggar Nationals were at home where they defeated the Unity Miners by a score of 11-7 and Kindersley was in Macklin where the Sr. Klippers won a close back-and-forth affair by a score of 6-5 in overtime.
Kindersley and Wilkie are tied atop the SWHL standings with six points each, and Biggar is alone in third place with four points and a record of 2-1. Unity is 1-2 to start the season, and the team sits in fourth place with two points. Luseland has yet to pick up a point in four games and although Macklin has yet to win, the team managed to pick up a point after the overtime loss to Kindersley.
The top three scorers in the league all play for the Outlaws. Harrison is leading the way with a remarkable 18 points (10G, 8A) after three games for an average of six points per game. Rory Gregoire and Brock Harrison are tied for second with 13 points and Kindersley’s Ismond is in third with 10 points after three games.
This week is a slow week in the SWHL with only a pair of games on the schedule. Biggar is in Luseland tonight (Nov. 16) with puck drop at 8:30 p.m., and Kindersley is in Unity for what is a mid-week affair starting at 8:30 p.m.
