The Wilkie Outlaws and Kindersley Sr. Klippers are still undefeated after games last weekend and they meet for the first time this season tomorrow night.

There were only three games on the schedule this past weekend for Sask West Hockey League teams, but Kindersley and Wilkie were involved in all three games. Each undefeated team has a record of 8-0 this season for a share of first place in the SWHL with 16 points.

In a pair of games on Dec. 7, the Luseland Mallards lost by a score of 13-2 at home to the Outlaws and the Sr. Klippers beat the Unity Miners by a score of 8-7 in a barn burner. Unity scored with one second left in the game to make it appear closer. The game was played in Kindersley.

The Sr. Klippers also hosted the Biggar Nationals on Dec. 8 in the only game last Saturday and only other game of the weekend. Kindersley won the game by a score of 8-2 in order to set the stage for this weekend’s game with Wilkie.

Bigger (4-3-1) sits in third place in the SWHL standings with nine points while Unity (2-5) is in fourth with four points. The Macklin Mohawks have only played five games, but they are scheduled to play three games in three days this weekend. Macklin (0-4-1) is in fifth with one point while Luseland (0-8) is in the basement.

Macklin is on the road for a game tonight in Wilkie at 8:30 p.m., so the Outlaws have to play Kindersley on the back end of back-to-back games. Kindersley is in Wilkie and Biggar is in Macklin tomorrow night for games at 8 p.m. Unity is in Macklin on Dec. 16 at 5:30 p.m.
