Only a pair of games have been played in the Sask West Hockey League since a week ago. However, there are several games scheduled to be played this weekend.

While two games have been played in the past seven days, only results from one game could be reported due to the timing of Wednesday night’s game in Unity. The Kindersley Sr. Klippers were in Unity against the Miners on Nov. 21, but results were not available for publication.

The only other game last week was on Nov. 16 in Biggar. The Luseland Mallards were in town to play the Nationals. The home side lit the lamp 13 times to hammer the Mallards by a final score was 13-3 for the Nationals.

Biggar was up by a score of 8-0 after two periods, but the Mallards battled hard in the third period even though a comeback was improbable. Biggar had several players with multi-point games led by Lukas Sutter with six points (2G, 4A), Dylan Smith with five points (4G, 1A) and Kyle Dilosa with four points (2G, 2A).

The Sr. Klippers and Wilkie Outlaws were the only two undefeated teams at 3-0 before the game in Unity on Wednesday, so the Sr. Klippers could still be undefeated. There are four games on the schedule this weekend.

There are two games on the schedule tonight with Unity in Luseland and Biggar in Wilkie with both games scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. There are two games scheduled for tomorrow night with Wilkie in Macklin to play the Mohawks and Biggar in Kindersley. Both games are scheduled to start at 8 p.m.

The Sr. Klippers already have a win over the Nationals this season. Kindersley played its first game of the season on Nov. 3 in Biggar, and the road team won 4-3. The Sr. Klippers are tied for first place in the Sask West Hockey League with Biggar (3-1) and Wilkie (3-0).

The Outlaws have a win at home over Macklin this season, so the Mohawks will be looking to upset the four-time defending SWHL champions from Wilkie. Only the Mallards have played five games so far, but the team is still looking for its first win.
