In a repeat of last year’s finals, the defending champion Eston Ramblers will take on the Kyle Elks in the SVHL championships.

The two teams kicked things off in Kyle on Wednesday, but no results were available before press time.

Game two will be played tomorrow night in Eston at 8 p.m. Game 3 will be played in Kyle March 23rd at 8 p.m. If necessary, game four will be played in Eston March 28 at 8:30 p.m. followed by game five, scheduled for March 30 in Kyle at 8 p.m.

The two teams split their four regular season games, with Eston handing Kyle two of their just three losses that they had all season.

The Ramblers advanced after a 7-1 drubbing of the Central Butte Flyers at home March 7th. Scoring for the Ramblers in this game were Jesse Duchscherer, Brett Howe, Brandon Kuse, Quinn McLean, Darcy Morrice, Mitch Neumeier and Dustin Stevenson.

Provincials

Outlook versus Beechy – Outlook defeated Beechy in their first game of this best-of-three semifinal series, by a score of 7-5 on March 11th. Game two is scheduled for tonight in Beechy at 8 p.m., followed by game three, if necessary, March 18th at 2:30 p.m.

Kyle versus Radville – Kyle has a 1-0 series lead after a 5-2 win in Radville March 10th. Game 2 will take place tonight in Kyle at 8 p.m. Game three, if necessary, will be in Radville Sunday afternoon.
