Local baseball league adds one more team

The Fertile Valley Baseball League added one more team to the fold recently, welcoming the Outlook River Hawks, now making it 12 teams in total.

Teams will play a round-robin format for the regular season which begins May 22 with the Kindersley Royals taking on the Kindersley Klippers to kick things off. Game time is 6:30 p.m.

Week 1 will continue Thursday with the Royals taking on the league champion Kindersley Raiders  beginning at 7:30 p.m. The following day, Friday, the Eatonia Wheat Kings will take on the Kindersley Stallions beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The regular season will conclude with the final game slated for July 5, followed by playoffs.
