The Wilkie Outlaws had a 2-0 series lead on the Kindersley Red Lions in the SWHL championship series. Game 3 will be played tonight in Wilkie, followed by game four, if necessary, back in Kindersley.

The Wilkie Outlaws have a commanding lead in the Sask. West Hockey League championship series over the Kindersley Red Lions.

The Outlaws defeated the Red Lions 6-3 in game one of this series in Kindersley March 11 and back in Wilkie, won game two, 3-2 in overtime on March 14.

Game three of this series will be played in Wilkie tonight (Friday) at 8:30 p.m. Game four, if necessary, will be played back in Kindersley Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.

In game two of this series, the Brett Harrison was the overtime hero for the Outlaws scoring at the 14:13 mark of the first overtime frame.

The Red Lions started off the scoring in this one, with Ethan Wigley finding the back of the net at the 2:55 mark of the opening frame.

Mike Sittler, however, evened things up, scoring just over a minute later.

Brock Harrison would score the lone goal of the second to give the home side a 2-1 lead and early in the third, Jesse Ismond would even things out for the Red Lions.

Provincials

The Wilkie Outlaws were ousted in their Provincial A playoffs by Waldheim, losing two games to one in the northern finals.

The Eatonia Huskies also bowed out of their provincial title quest, losing to Theodore in two straight games in their series.
