Several area girls’ high school volleyball teams competed this past weekend in their provincial championships.
In the 1A division, the Plenty Wildcats came up short in their bid, however they did earn a fourth-place finish with host Fox Valley winning the bronze medal game.
The Eston girls had a tough draw and were unable to make the playoff round.
In the 2A championships, Kerrobert and Leader both missed out on a medal game with Kerrobert coming up short in the quarter-finals, with Leader falling short of the playoff round.

In the 3A provincial finals, Wilkie came up short with a quarter-final loss and in the 4A championships, Unity started off strong with three straight wins against teams from Kipling, Yorkton and Maidstone, before losing their final round robin game to Oxbow.
This put them in second place in their pool and they did advance to the quarter-finals where they defeated Dalmeny.
They advanced to the semis, but fell short losing to Caronport in straight sets.
They then battled with Kipling in the bronze medal game, but again lost in straight sets to finish in fourth.
