While they have to go on the road in a few days, the West Central Wheat Kings bantam and peewee teams can do so with some renewed confidence, having won some recent home games.
The Bantam Wheat Kings travel to Saskatoon to play the Stallions next Tuesday.
They beat the Yorkton Bantam Terriers 4-1 in Kerrobert on Nov. 24.
The Peewee Wheat Kings play in Humboldt and Melfort next Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

They won four games in a recent five-game home stand in Kindersley. They split with the Prince Albert Knights, losing 5-3 on Nov. 23 and winning 8-5 on the 24th, and then drubbed the Humboldt Broncos 10-3 on the 25th and the Melfort Mustangs 13-3 last Saturday and 8-2 on Sunday.
For the Bantam Wheat Kings, Jakin Lawrence, Karson Blanchette, Ethan Kelly and Kayden Ostrom scored against the Terriers.
Leightin Partington got two assists.
Jaxon Sperling got the Terriers’ goal.
Blake Sittler made 21 saves in the West Central net.
Yorkton goalie Landon Sorenson stopped 30 Wheat King shots.
In the Peewee Wheat Kings’ last win over the Mustangs, Cam Perlinger and Cole Reschny each scored twice and Carter Ralston, Cobe Perlinger, Pryce Thiessen and Jake Hudec added singles.
Kayden Cey and Cam Perlinger each had three assists and Thiessen, Hudec and Aidan Torry each assisted on two goals.
Tyson Borschneck played goal for West Central, but the saves he made weren’t recorded.
Luke Puetz and Kale Margolis scored for the Mustangs.
Hunter Nakonechny minded the Melfort net.
In their 13-3 win, Carter Ralston and Cam Perlinger each scored hat tricks. Cey and Thiessen got two goals each. Hudec, Cole Reschny and Cobe Perlinger also scored.
Thiessen and Cobe Perlinger each assisted on three goals. Torry, Cole and Dayton Reschny and Ethan Sautner had two assists each.
Scotty McLean, Luke Evans and Kendon Skalicky scored for Melfort.
Paige Fischer tended goal for West Central.
Andrew Perrot went the distance in the Mustang net.

In the win over Humboldt, Dayton Reschny got three goals, Sautner had two markers and Cey, Thiessen, Keegan Nash and Cam and Cobe Perlinger also contributed to the lopsided score.
Ralston and Cole Reschny each assisted on three goals. Thiessen, Dayton Reschny, Aidan Torry and Cam Perlinger each had two assists.
Borschneck got the win in the Wheat King goal.
Brady Holtvogt played the entire game in the Bronco net.
Saves for either weren’t recorded.
In their 8-5 win over Prince Albert, Cole Reschny got the hat trick, Ralston had two goals and Sautner, Dayton Reschny, Ty Partington got the others.
Nash had two assists.
Ashton Tait with two goals, Lee Burden, Eric Ward and Owen Nelson scored for the Knights.
Paige Fischer picked up the win in the West Central net.
Jayden Kraus was between the pipes for the Knights.
Ralston, Sautner and Thiessen got the Wheat King goals in the 5-3 loss to Prince Albert the night before.
Tait got two goals for the Knights. Ward, Nelson and Kelan Simmonds also scored.
