The Macklin Bantam Mohawks are Hi-Way 14 Hockey League champions.

The squad finished the regular season undefeated after 24 games, then cruised through the league playoffs beating the North Battleford Barons in the best-of-three semifinals in two straight games.

The win took them to the league championships against the Rosetown Redwings and won two straight again, this time by scores of 9-4 and 5-4.

Coach Terry Fischer said that the keys to success this season were commitment, determination, and the desire to win, along with some strong goaltending.

The team consisted of just 11 bantam-aged players and used a few affiliate players throughout the season
